Implementation of energy conservation support program for Myanmar The 1st Workshop this year in Yangon on July 2019

Under the instruction and financial support of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), the Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ) implemented an energy conservation support program for Myanmar.

The objectives of this program are to support to disseminate Energy Management System under EC Law.

Now the Energy Conservation Law is under preparation for enactment in 2020 in Myanmar. It is important to disseminate the contents of the EC Law and related regulations to business operators beforehand.

This workshop was held to study how to make the Periodical Report which stipulated in the EC Law. Lectures and practical training were held at the training center of the Ministry of Industry in Yangon City for people involved in factories and buildings who cooperated as model companies.

In addition, let them feel the necessity of energy saving activities by actually visiting the factory and building sites and conducting simple energy saving diagnosis.
